How to Cancel — Step by Step
- 1Confirm you are the account owner.
- 2Gather your account number and personal identification number (PIN).
- 3Call AT&T customer service at 800.288.2020 during normal operating hours.
- 4Follow the instructions provided by the customer service representative to cancel your service.
- 5Return any leased equipment to AT&T within 21 days of service cancellation to avoid a non-return fee.
Additional Notes
- You can cancel your service for any reason within 14 days of activation without paying an Early Termination Fee (ETF).
- If you are subject to a term commitment and cancel after 14 days, you will be charged an ETF.
- Leased equipment must be returned within 21 days of cancellation to avoid a non-return fee.
