How to Cancel — Step by Step
- 1Sign in to your My CenturyLink account.
- 2Scroll to the bottom of the home page. If you are eligible to cancel your service online, you will see that option.
- 3If you do not see the button to cancel service online, you must chat with customer service to cancel.
- 4Return any leased modems within 30 days of service cancellation to avoid an equipment charge of up to $200.
Billed Through a Third Party?
- If you have TV service through DIRECTV or DISH, you must contact them directly to cancel that portion of your service.
Reactivating Your Account
- You can put a vacation hold on your account to pause your home phone and/or internet services at a reduced rate.
Additional Notes
- If you are leasing a CenturyLink modem/router, you must return it within 30 days after canceling to avoid an equipment charge of up to $200.
- If any of your services are part of a bundle, canceling one service may alter your bundle discounts.
- If you use AutoPay, canceling your service will affect your automatic payments.
