How to Get a Refund — Step by Step
- 1Sign in to your Orbitz account to access your itinerary.
- 2Check the cancellation policy applicable to your reservation to determine refund eligibility.
- 3If eligible, proceed to cancel your booking online through your itinerary.
- 4For vacation packages, you will need to cancel each part of your trip separately.
- 5Track the status of your refund through the 'My Trips' page.
When You Can Get a Refund
- Refunds are subject to the cancellation and change policies of the relevant travel provider (e.g., airline, hotel).
- Some bookings are non-refundable and do not permit cancellations or changes after they are made.
- If you do not show up for or fail to use some or all of the booked travel services, any refund will be in line with the relevant travel provider's rules and restrictions.
- An administration fee may be charged by Orbitz for processing a cancellation or change, in addition to any fees imposed by the travel provider.
- For bookings made with Orbucks, cancellations may result in changes to the amount of Orbucks credited or debited to your account.
All Refund Methods
- Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
- In some cases, a travel credit or voucher may be offered for future use.
Additional Notes
- Orbitz may cancel your booking if full payment for the booking, or any applicable cancellation/change charge or fee, is not received when due.
- It is possible that a booking may be cancelled or changed by the Travel Provider or Orbitz for various reasons (e.g., overbooking, property closure). In such cases, Orbitz will make reasonable efforts to notify you and may offer alternative options or a refund.
