How to Get a Refund — Step by Step
- 1Contact the ticketing agency where the ticket was purchased to apply for a refund.
- 2For tickets bought directly from Korean Air, requests can be submitted to a Korean Air ticketing office or the Korean Air Service Center.
- 3Provide the e-ticket itinerary and receipt, along with the passenger's ID. Additional documents are needed for agents or legal representatives.
When You Can Get a Refund
- Only the passenger or their authorized agent can request a refund.
- Tickets purchased through a travel agency or another airline must be refunded by them.
- Refund fees and penalties may apply depending on the fare rules and the timing of the cancellation.
- The 24-hour penalty-free refund is applicable only for tickets booked one week or more before the initial departure.
- Award tickets and group tickets have separate refund rules.
Additional Notes
- When a refund is processed, the entire itinerary and any additional services purchased will be automatically canceled.
- If you request a refund for a flight that is about to depart, the booking will be canceled to prevent a no-show penalty.
- Refund service charges may apply to tickets that are otherwise non-refundable according to fare rules.
