How to Get a Refund — Step by Step
- 1Log in to your IHG One Rewards account on the IHG website or app.
- 2Navigate to the 'Stays and Events' or 'Manage Your Reservations' section.
- 3Select the upcoming reservation you wish to cancel.
- 4Follow the prompts to confirm the cancellation.
- 5You will receive an email confirmation of the cancellation and any applicable refund.
When You Can Get a Refund
- Refund eligibility is dependent on the rate selected at the time of booking; some rates, like 'Advance Purchase', are non-refundable.
- Cancellations must be made within the window specified by the hotel's cancellation policy to receive a full refund.
- For Points & Cash bookings, the cash portion is non-refundable; purchased points will be redeposited into your account upon cancellation.
- A 'no show' for a hotel stay booking will, in most cases, result in a total forfeiture of the amount paid.
