Return Conditions
- Products must be handled and kept with care and returned in their original state and packaging, with all original tags and labels attached.
- Items must be unused, unwashed and undamaged.
- Care should be taken when posting returns to ensure tape and stickers aren't applied directly to product packaging.
- Authentic tag and proof of purchase are required.
Refund Methods
- Refunds are issued to the original form of payment.
- Purchases made with a Vans gift card will be refunded to an alternate gift card at a store or once received by mail.
- For faulty goods, you will be fully reimbursed to your original form of payment, including possible shipping costs.
- If no receipt is available for in-store returns, merchandise credit at the current selling value will be provided.
- Klarna orders exchanged or returned for credit at a Vans store will require continued payments to Klarna until payment is complete.
Exceptions & Restrictions
- Certain items are designated as final sale and not eligible for returns; a 'Final Sale. No Returns' callout will indicate these items.
- Customs Products can be returned only if they are faulty; returns are not accepted for other reasons.
- Products damaged due to wear and tear are not considered faulty.
- Items bought in official Vans-owned and operated stores can only be returned to the same type of store (retail or outlet) in the same country of purchase.
- Items purchased at a Vans retail store must be returned to the same Vans store.
- Online purchases can only be returned via the online return process for a refund to the original payment method.
- If you received a gift but lack proof of purchase or knowledge of where the item was purchased, you may not be able to make a return.
Online / Mail Returns
- Returns for online Vans.com orders can be initiated within 30 days of purchase.
- Purchases made on Vans can only be returned via the online return process.
- A free returns label can be obtained by initiating the return process and generating a digital QR code, barcode, or printable label.
- For drop-off returns, a return code to a mobile device can be used; printing is not required, as the drop-off point can print the label from the confirmation email.
- For home pick-up returns, a printable return label will be generated.
In-Store Returns
- Items purchased at a Vans retail store must be returned to the same Vans store.
- Online orders can be exchanged in any Vans Store or Vans Outlet.
- Items from online stock purchased in-store and delivered to the store or home can be returned either online or at the same Vans-owned and operated store of purchase.
- Items reserved online but purchased in-store can only be returned to the same store.
Gift Returns
- If you received a gift without proof of purchase or knowledge of the purchase location, you may not be able to make a return.
- For in-store returns without a receipt, merchandise credit at the current selling value will be provided.
- Purchases made with a Vans gift card will be refunded to an alternate gift card at a store or by mail.
Damaged or Defective Items
- Incorrect, faulty, or damaged items can be returned within 30 calendar days of delivery from the receipt date.
- Faulty products can be returned within 2 years of receipt if the 30-day period has expired.
- A product is 'faulty' if received damaged or where a manufacturing or material fault occurs within 2 years from the purchase.
- Products damaged due to wear and tear are not considered faulty.
- Customs Products can only be returned if they are faulty.
Exchange Policy
- Vans does not offer online exchanges; customers should contact Customer Support or exchange in-store.
- Online orders can be exchanged in any Vans Store or Vans Outlet.
- Calling the local Vans retail store in advance is recommended to confirm item availability for in-store exchanges.
- Returns for credit or exchange are processed for products purchased at Vans.com or a Vans Store within 30 days of receipt.
Additional Notes
- Original shipping charges are not refunded, unless for faulty goods.
- If you return some but not all items from an order, shipping costs will be reimbursed pro-rata.
- Online returns of items purchased online and collected in-store can ONLY be refunded in the form of a digital gift card.
- For in-store returns of items from online stock purchased in-store, a full refund to the original payment method requires presentation of proof of purchase and return to the same payment method.
- Customers are encouraged to reuse the original shipping package for environmental reasons.
