Return Conditions
- Unused merchandise.
- Defective merchandise is accepted.
- Original tags must be attached and items must be in original condition (unworn, unwashed).
- Furniture must be in saleable condition and wrapped in its original packaging.
Refund Methods
- Original form of payment for returns within 30 days of delivery/purchase.
- Emailed e-merchandise credit for returns made after 30 days of delivery.
- UO Gift Card for gift returns or returns after 30 days.
- Store credit at the current selling price if a return without a receipt is accepted.
Exceptions & Restrictions
- Made-to-order furniture is final sale.
- Sale items purchased at an additional sale-on-sale discount are final sale.
- Furthered sale items ending in $0.95 are final sale.
- UO MRKT items must be returned directly to the UO MRKT seller and cannot be returned to UrbanOutfitters.com or UO stores.
- Oversized items and furniture purchased online cannot be returned in-store.
- After one year, returns or exchanges are no longer accepted.
- Items bought in UO stores (UK) cannot be returned via post.
- In-store purchases (UK) must be returned in the same country of purchase.
Online / Mail Returns
- Return by mail using a printed return shipping label (a $5 restocking fee applies for most mailed returns in US/Canada).
- Return in person for free to any US or Canada UO store with the packing slip or order confirmation email.
- UO MRKT items must be returned directly to the UO MRKT seller.
- Online orders cannot be returned at European stores.
In-Store Returns
- Items bought in UO stores can be returned to any UO store with the item and receipt.
- Online purchases of eligible items can be returned to US and Canadian stores with a packing list, receipt, or order confirmation email.
- UO MRKT items cannot be returned to UO stores.
- Furniture cannot be returned in stores.
Gift Returns
- Returns after 30 days of delivery or gift returns will result in a UO Gift Card being issued.
- Store Credit (E-Gift Card) is issued if you have a gift receipt.
Price Adjustments
- A one-time price adjustment is offered for an item from the website if it goes on sale within 14 days of your order shipment date.
- A refund for the price difference will be issued back to the original form of payment.
- If a UO Gift Card was used, a new gift card will be issued reflecting the difference.
- UrbanOutfitters.com cannot grant price adjustments for purchases made in retail stores.
- Urban Outfitters does not offer price matching.
Exchange Policy
- Unused or defective merchandise can be exchanged by mail or at US or Canada store locations.
- For online orders, direct exchanges by mail are generally not available; customers should return the unwanted item for a refund and place a new order for the desired item.
- In-store exchanges are possible for a different size or color if the item is in stock, with no restocking fees.
- To exchange a UO MRKT item, return the original item to the seller and then place a new order for the item you wish to purchase.
Additional Notes
- A $5 restocking fee will be deducted from your refund for most mailed returns within the US and Canada.
- Shipping fees and handling surcharges are non-refundable.
- Return shipping labels are only available for orders shipping to the continental US.
- Free returns are available for UK online orders by mail.
- UO London items follow standard return instructions.
