Return Conditions
- New products can be returned for any reason within about 30 days.
- Used gear can be returned within 90 days only if it malfunctions or fails without abuse or misuse.
- A Return Authorization (RA) number, obtained by calling a Sales Engineer, is required for all returns.
- Items must be returned in their original product box with UPC codes intact.
- If your order was eligible for free shipping, the outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund or credit.

Online / Mail Returns
- To make a return, you must first call your Sweetwater Sales Engineer to get a Return Authorization (RA) number.
- The product should be packed in its original box, and it is recommended to use a trackable and insured shipping method.
- The customer is responsible for return shipping costs on used items.
Damaged or Defective Items
- If you receive a defective product, contact the support team at (800) 222-4700 ext. 6400 or complete an online support request form.
- If a product is determined to have failed under warranty within 30 days of purchase, Sweetwater will cover shipping costs within the US to replace it.
Exchange Policy
- New products may be exchanged for another product within about 30 days of the shipping date.
Additional Notes
- Sweetwater's stated policy is they will do whatever it takes to fix a problem and make the customer happy.
- For items marked 'used', the customer is responsible for all shipping charges (to and from Sweetwater) on returns.

Just got a $2k synthesizer from Sweetwater and the package didn’t come with any candy. Who do I contact for a refund?
How do they expect me to synthesize without my candy? Edit: I called my sales rep at home and spoke with his wife’s boyfriend. He told me it’s company policy to include the candy and that the package must have been opened by the FedEx driver who needed a sugar fix. Edit again (next day): got a call

does anyone else have an issue with them taking an hour to talk to(when you call them about a return). They intentionally make you wait 40 minutes when you say you’re calling about a return. Just curious about other people’s experience… I had a return ship to Sweetwater last Monday thinking that I would receive my store credit by the end of the week. I still haven’t received my store credit and have had a difficult time getting in contact with my rep. They say 2-3 business days to proce
