Return Conditions

  • Returns must be authorized by contacting the Customer Service Center to obtain a Return Service Order (RSO) number and instructions.
  • Unauthorized returns will be discarded, and no refund or credit will be issued.
  • For Sleep Number® Mattresses, Foundations, Bunkie Boards, Climate360® smart beds, or ClimateCool™ Mattresses, returns can be arranged starting on day 31 but before the end of the 100-night In-Home Trial Period.
  • Items must be in a good and sanitary condition to receive the full purchase price reimbursement (less shipping or Home Delivery Service & Setup fees).

Refund Methods

  • Refunds are issued to the original method of payment.
  • In the event the original method of payment is unavailable, the refund may be by check.

Exceptions & Restrictions

  • Adjustable Bases (including FlexFit™ Smart Adjustable Bases), upholstered furniture, and upholstered furniture accessories are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.
  • Products received pursuant to an exchange under the In-Home Trial Policy do not qualify for a new In-Home Trial Period and are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.
  • Clearance/closeout or display products are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.
  • Shipping and delivery fees are non-refundable.
  • Orders for upholstered furniture and upholstered furniture accessories cannot be canceled or changed after purchase.

Online / Mail Returns

  • For most items (mattresses, bed accessories), contact the Customer Service Center by phone or digital chat to obtain a Return Service Order (RSO) number and instructions.
  • Bedding Collection items can be returned by mail.

In-Store Returns

  • Only Bedding Collection items can be returned to Sleep Number retail stores.

Exchange Policy

  • A one-time exchange is allowed for Sleep Number® Mattresses, Foundations, Bunkie Boards, Climate360® smart beds, or ClimateCool™ Mattresses within the 100-night In-Home Trial Period, starting on day 31.
  • Bedding Collection items and Sleep Number® remote controls can be exchanged one time at any time during the 100-night In-Home Trial Period.
  • Products received in exchange are considered final sale and do not qualify for a new 100-night trial period, nor are they eligible for further return or exchange.

Additional Notes

  • A $250 return pick-up fee applies for non-Bedding Collection items ($350 in extended service areas).
  • Customers are required to sleep on the mattress for a full 30 nights before becoming eligible to return or exchange under the 100-night trial.
  • All returns must be authorized with a Return Service Order (RSO) number.
  • Shipping and delivery fees are non-refundable.
  • Specific policies apply for purchases made in or delivered to Maryland, New Jersey, and New York regarding delayed delivery.
