Return Conditions
- New and unopened products must be returned for a full refund.
- Opened products can be returned within 180 days for a full refund.
- Merchandise must not be modified from its original form, dirty, stained, or damaged.
- Opened or assembled products require disassembly if picked up for return.
Refund Methods
- Same form of payment originally used.
- Refund card for IKEA Family/IKEA for Business members returning opened products.
- Cash refunds given in-store or as store credit.
Exceptions & Restrictions
- Plants.
- Cut fabric.
- Custom countertops.
- As-is products.
- Returns not accepted at IKEA Planning Studio or IKEA Pick Up Point locations.
- Modifications to a product (drilling holes, painting, removing parts) void the warranty and may prevent return.
Online / Mail Returns
- Products bought from the IKEA U.S. online website can be returned.
In-Store Returns
- Returns can be made at IKEA U.S. stores.
Exchange Policy
- Mattress purchases may be exchanged for another mattress one time within 90 days.
- If exchanging an item for a different item, return the original item first and then make a new purchase for the desired product.
Additional Notes
- Only the net purchase price as shown on receipt will be refunded.
- When a promotional item included in the original transaction is not returned, the value of the promotional item will be deducted from the refund amount.
- IKEA does not require the original packaging.
