Return Conditions
- Opened products that are in 'like-new' and sellable condition may be returned within 30 days with all essential items.
- For returns without a receipt where the transaction cannot be found, a state-issued ID is required.
- Defective items can be exchanged for the identical product within 30 days if you have the receipt.
Refund Methods
- Refunds are issued to the original form of payment.
- For returns over $5 without a receipt, credit will be issued to a Fred Meyer Merchandise Return Card.
Exceptions & Restrictions
- Apple products must be returned within 15 days.
- Unopened products may be returned within 30 days of purchase.
- Opened software, music CDs, video games, and movies can only be exchanged for the same title if defective.
- Gift cards, tax software, and opened collectibles are non-returnable.
Online / Mail Returns
- Most items purchased on FredMeyer.com can be returned to any Fred Meyer store.
In-Store Returns
- Returns can be made at the Customer Service Desk.
- If you used a Rewards Card for the original purchase, you only need to present the card with the item for a return.
Gift Returns
- Items with a gift receipt can be returned within 60 days for an exchange or a Fred Meyer Gift Card.
Additional Notes
- If a transaction cannot be found for a return without a receipt, the refund will be for the item's lowest price within the last 90 days.
- The first return without a receipt is accepted up to a maximum of $50; subsequent no-receipt return requests will be declined.
- Using a Rewards Card during purchase allows for receipt-free returns.
