- Returns and exchanges are handled on a case-by-case basis.
- For wheels, returns are typically accepted if the wheels are not mounted and driven on.
- For items covered by the 45-Day Satisfaction Guarantee (select Cooper, Goodyear, Dunlop, Kelly, or Mastercraft tires), tires must be returned undamaged and not worn over the first 2/32nds.
Refund Methods
- Eligible items are refunded to the original form of tender.
- For credit card payments, credit will be applied to the account.
- For exchanges, the account is charged for the new item and credited for the return.
Exceptions & Restrictions
- Discount Tire may, from time to time, be unable to accommodate a return.
- If tires are mounted to wheels and driven on, Discount Tire may not be able to send them back for credit.
- Tires damaged due to misuse, road hazards (unless covered by Certificate), mechanical problems, racing activities, or tires removed from the original vehicle are excluded from the 45-Day Satisfaction Guarantee.
- The 45-Day Satisfaction Guarantee applies only to select Cooper, Goodyear, Dunlop, Kelly, or Mastercraft tires, with specific conditions and limitations, including a 45-day window.
- The replacement tires under the 45-Day Satisfaction Guarantee are not covered by the guarantee.
In-Store Returns
- Returns can be made at any Discount Tire store.
- Customers should bring the item(s), receipt, and original form of payment to the store.
Damaged or Defective Items
- Every tire sold includes a FREE prorated road hazard warranty and a manufacturer's limited warranty.
- A Certificate for Repair, Refund, or Replacement program is available for an additional fee, protecting against road hazards and manufacturer defects.
- If a tire covered by the Certificate fails due to a non-repairable road hazard or manufacturer defect, has more than 3/32" of tread depth, and is within 3 years of purchase, Discount Tire will refund the full purchase price.
Price Adjustments
- Discount Tire offers a 'Low Price Promise' to match or beat competitors' advertised prices on identical products, online or in-store.
Exchange Policy
- Customers can exchange a product for another, with their account being charged for the new item and credited for the return.
- For the 45-Day Satisfaction Guarantee, if exchanging for a more expensive tire, the customer pays the difference; if less expensive, the customer receives a refund for the difference. Mounting and balancing are included.
Additional Notes
- Discount Tire's primary goal is 100% customer satisfaction.
- The general return policy states 'no time limits for returns or exchanges'.
- Returns are handled on a case-by-case basis by store experts.
- Receipt or order number is the fastest way to locate a purchase, but other methods may be used if a receipt is unavailable.
