Return Conditions
- Merchandise must be in new condition, unused, and unwashed.
- Must be in its original packaging.
- Items must have original tags attached.
Refund Methods
- Original form of payment (with receipt within 30 days).
- Merchandise credit (for non-receipted returns, returns after 30 days, or layaway returns).
- Debit cards using PIN will receive cash.
Exceptions & Restrictions
- Personal items such as worn clothes, open underwear, used cosmetics, used bath items are non-returnable.
- Items with missing parts (no tags, no package, broken sets) are non-returnable.
- Gift cards, final sale, and clearance items are non-returnable.
- Layaway deposits, payments, and returned Layaway merchandise receive a merchandise credit (less service fees).
- Food items, wall art, rugs, lamps, or furniture cannot be placed on layaway.
- Returns are subject to a third-party verification process and system approval.
- Burlington reserves the right to limit or refuse any refund.
Online / Mail Returns
- Burlington does not accept mail-in returns as they stopped selling online years ago.
- All returns must be made in-store.
In-Store Returns
- Bring item and original receipt to any Burlington store within 30 days of purchase for a refund.
- Take along the item with a receipt and the original payment method.
Exchange Policy
- Exchanges are subject to the same return policy.
Additional Notes
- Your ID information and return transaction history may be collected and entered into their processor's system.
- On day 31, your refund turns into a merchandise credit ('The 30-Day Cliff').
- Returns from a check purchase will be credited to the original account after a five-day waiting period.
