Return Conditions
- Items must be returned within 90 days of the ship date to be eligible for an exchange or full refund.
- Refunds exclude Shipping & Processing fees.
- Only complete uncut bolts of fabric can be returned; cut yardage is non-returnable.
- Fabric bolts and rug returns must be in an undamaged original shipping bag.
Refund Methods
- Full refund to the original payment method.
- Exchange for another item.
- Merchandise Certificate (store credit) if an item is defective and no longer available for exchange.
Exceptions & Restrictions
- Items that are monogrammed, clearance, customized, swatches, Custom Plus, Customer's Own Material (COM), or made-to-order cannot be returned or exchanged unless they are damaged or defective.
- Ballard Designs Outlets, the Denver retail store, and the Design Studio in West Palm Beach, FL do not accept any returns.
- Items received by Truck or In-Home Delivery cannot be returned to any store.
Online / Mail Returns
- Customers can use the Self-Service Online Return Feature to start a return.
- Some shipments include an Easy Return Label.
- Instructions are provided for self-service returns using parcel carriers other than UPS.
- Customers are responsible for carrier's shipping charges for return shipping if no label is provided.
- For Truck and In-Home deliveries, customers must call or email to schedule a return pick-up.
In-Store Returns
- Most Ballard Designs retail stores accept returns for items received via Standard Shipping.
- Ballard Designs Outlets, the Denver retail store, and the Design Studio in West Palm Beach, FL do not accept any returns.
- Items received by Truck or In-Home Delivery cannot be returned to any store.
Damaged or Defective Items
- All Ballard products are guaranteed from defects for a full year from the date of shipment.
- Defective items will be exchanged.
- If a defective item is no longer available, a Merchandise Certificate will be issued.
- Items typically excluded from returns (e.g., customized) can be returned or exchanged if damaged or defective.
Exchange Policy
- Items can be exchanged within 90 days of the ship date.
- Damaged or defective items are eligible for exchange.
Additional Notes
- The return policy is referred to as 'Love It or Send It Back' policy.
- The company guarantees products from defects for a full year from the date of shipment.
