Return Conditions
- Items must be returned in their original condition.
- All accessories and parts must be included.
- Securely packed in all original packaging (unless removed during White Glove Delivery).
- Must be in new/unused condition.
Refund Methods
- Refunds are made based on the original payment method.
- Credits and refunds are issued for the purchase price of the returned item(s).
- Taxes are refunded in accordance with applicable state law.
- For cash or check payments, a refund check is mailed within 7-10 days after the product is returned and inspected.
Exceptions & Restrictions
- Final-Sale and Clearance Items (unless delivered damaged/defective and reported within 3 business days).
- Special Orders.
- Monogrammed or Personalized Items.
- Mattresses and Foundations (returns generally controlled by manufacturer's warranty, except if delivered damaged within 72 hours).
- Bedding and linens.
- Special order accessories, area rugs, lamps, wall art.
- Imported products (not eligible for returns or refunds, but may be exchanged for another product or store credit within 7 calendar days if in original condition).
- Items that have been assembled (may still be exchanged).
Online / Mail Returns
- Contact Guest Experience or Customer Care to initiate a return.
- Return shipping or pickup fees may apply; customer is responsible for return shipping fees for non-damaged items.
- An RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) is required; unauthorized returns are not accepted.
- Returns must be sent to the provided distribution center address.
- Save and email the return tracking number.
In-Store Returns
- In-store purchases have separate policies set by the individual store; contact the store directly.
- Some online purchases may not be returned in stores.
- Furniture accessories may be returned to showrooms.
Damaged or Defective Items
- Report damaged or defective items within 72 hours (3 business days) of delivery.
- Contact Guest Experience or Customer Care for assistance.
- Ashley Furniture will work to repair, replace, or pick up the item.
- Shipping, delivery, and handling charges are refundable for damaged or defective merchandise.
- For manufacturing defects discovered after the initial reporting period, consult the manufacturer's warranty.
- For White Glove and Doorstep Delivery, only damaged or defective items may be returned.
Exchange Policy
- Exchanges are offered for eligible items.
- For preference returns of some furniture, a one-time re-selection of equal or greater value may waive the restocking fee, but a new delivery fee will apply.
- Assembled items may still be exchanged.
- Imported products may be exchanged for another product or store credit within 7 calendar days.
Additional Notes
- Return shipping or pickup fees may apply for non-damaged items.
- Shipping, delivery, and handling charges are nonrefundable, except for damaged or defective merchandise.
- A restocking fee of 25% may apply for returns; this fee is waived if there is an exchange for an item of equal or greater value or a store credit.
- It is important to thoroughly inspect the purchase upon arrival.

Beware of Ashley Furniture's "repair over replace" policy.
I recently bought a power reclining sofa from Ashley Furniture. Upon delivery, it was clear that one of the recliners was defective, confirmed by the delivery person. Upon calling customer service, I was told that they would not replace the sofa until a technician came out and deemed it unrepairable

Ashley furniture return Fee
For anyone that has purchased any furniture from Ashley and had to return it, how big of a fee did you pay to return the item? Is it even worth returning it at that point especially since the fee will likely be high due to the weight
