Return Conditions

  • Returned items must be unworn, unwashed, undamaged.
  • All labels and tags must be attached.
  • Hygienic liners must be in place for swimsuits and underwear.
  • Purchases made online are not eligible for returns until the full order has shipped.
  • Any items provided free-of-charge with relevant products must also be returned.

Refund Methods

Online / Mail Returns

  • Items received by mail can be sent back using an online portal to print a shipping label or get a digital label to scan at USPS.
  • Online returns are $5, or free for Real Rewards Level 3 Members and Credit Cardmembers, as well as for Aerie bras, bralettes, swimsuits, and third-party footwear.
  • In-store purchases cannot be returned online and must be returned in store.

In-Store Returns

  • Items bought online or in-store can be returned or exchanged at any AE, Aerie, Offline, or AE Factory store.
  • Exchanges can be made for any item(s) of equal or lesser value.
  • Full refunds to the original form of payment are available with proof of purchase.
  • Merchandise credit in the form of an AEO Merchandise return card is available.

Gift Returns

  • If no proof of purchase is available, an exchange for a different size is possible.
  • Returns without proof of purchase will receive American Eagle merchandise credit for the current selling price of the item.

Membership & Rewards Benefits

  • Online returns are free for Real Rewards Level 3 Members and Credit Cardmembers.

Price Adjustments

  • Price adjustments can be requested within 14 days if an item goes on sale shortly after purchase.

American Eagle Refund

I returned over $200 of items to AE yesterday (all were on AfterPay payment plans) I didn’t know about the AfterPay return card or whatever in the app, so I just used my debit card for the return. AE definitely processed the return but my AfterPay account has not updated or reflected any adjustments

Bought 6 eagles from Bullion Exchanges through Walmart three weeks ago (5% cash back because I paid with my Discover card, wouldn't otherwise do this). BullionExchanges claims the order doesn't exist, Walmart can only offer a refund. Spot is up $4 since I ordered it. What should I do?
