How to Get a Refund — Step by Step
- 1Open the Whatnot app or go to whatnot.com.
- 2Navigate to your purchase history by going to Activity > Purchases.
- 3Select the specific order you have an issue with.
- 4Tap or click 'Get help with this purchase'.
- 5Choose the option that best describes your issue, provide a description, and upload any supporting evidence like photos.
- 6Submit your request for review by the seller or Whatnot Support.
When You Can Get a Refund
- The item was not received, is incomplete, incorrect, damaged, defective, expired, counterfeit, or does not match the description.
- A return of the item may be required, and it must be in the same condition as it was received.
- Refunds are not offered for buyer's remorse.
- Exclusions include consumable products, digital content, orders disputed via chargeback, and cases of policy abuse or fraud.
Partial Refunds
- Partial refunds may be offered. If a seller offers a partial refund, the buyer must accept the offer.
Dispute Process
- If you are not satisfied with a seller's proposed resolution, you can escalate the request to Whatnot Support for review.
- If a seller disputes a return, the request is put on hold and automatically escalated to Whatnot Support for investigation.
Additional Notes
- All purchases are covered by the Whatnot Buyer Protection Policy.
- If a return is required, Whatnot will provide a prepaid shipping label.
- The item must be shipped back within 5 business days of the return being approved.
- Whatnot monitors refund activity to prevent misuse of the Buyer Protection policy.
