How to Get a Refund — Step by Step
- 1Visit the Fashion Nova returns portal at returns.fashionnova.com.
- 2Enter your order number and the email address used for the purchase.
- 3Select the items you wish to return and choose a return reason.
- 4Purchase a prepaid return shipping label: $3.99 for a single item, $7.99 for multiple items (deducted from store credit).
- 5Package items securely — ensure tags are attached and items are unworn/unwashed.
- 6Attach the shipping label and drop off the package at the designated carrier (USPS or UPS).
- 7Track your return using the tracking number from the shipping label.
- 8Store credit will be emailed as a Fashion Nova gift card within 7–10 business days after the return is received.
When You Can Get a Refund
- Fashion Nova only issues store credit for standard returns — no cash refunds to original payment method.
- Items must be returned unworn, unwashed, and with all original tags still attached.
- Cash refunds are only issued when Fashion Nova cannot deliver an item or ships a damaged/defective/wrong item.
- Returns must be initiated within 30 days of the delivery date.
- Damaged, defective, or incorrect items should be reported to customer service within 48 hours of delivery with photo evidence.
- Fashion Nova does not offer direct exchanges — you must return the item, receive store credit, and place a new order.
All Refund Methods

- Original payment method: only for items that cannot be delivered or arrive damaged/defective due to Fashion Nova's error

- Store credit never expires and can be used on any future Fashion Nova purchase
Partial Refunds
- Return shipping label costs ($3.99 or $7.99) are deducted from the store credit amount.
- Original shipping fees paid on the order are non-refundable.
- If only some items from an order are returned, store credit is issued for those specific items only.
- Items returned without tags or showing signs of wear may be rejected and sent back to the customer.
- Promotional discounts are factored into the refund — you receive credit for the amount actually paid, not the original retail price.
Dispute Process
- For damaged, defective, or incorrect items, contact Fashion Nova customer service directly instead of using the returns portal — email support@fashionnova.com with photos and your order number.
- These cases may qualify for a full refund to your original payment method if the error was on Fashion Nova's end.
- If your return is rejected or you have not received store credit after 2 weeks, contact support@fashionnova.com.
- Fashion Nova does not have a general customer service phone line for online order support — all communication is via email or the Help Center.
- As a last resort, file a chargeback with your credit card company for unresolved issues.
Additional Notes
- Final Sale / non-returnable items include: all items ending in $.48 and $.98, bodysuits, swimwear, undergarments, beauty products, cosmetics, accessories, and party wear (such as Halloween costumes).
- Fashion Nova was subject to an FTC settlement for suppressing negative reviews — the FTC required refunds for affected customers in 2023.
- Store credit is the only option for standard returns — Fashion Nova is one of the few major retailers that does not offer cash refunds.
- Fashion Nova store locations (Burbank, Montebello, Los Angeles, Northridge, Panorama City) may accept in-store returns — call ahead to confirm.
- International returns have additional shipping costs and longer processing times.
