How to Get a Refund — Step by Step
- 1Sign in to reportaproblem.apple.com with the Apple ID that made the purchase
- 2Tap or click “I’d like to” and select “Request a refund”
- 3Choose the reason for the refund and click “Next”
- 4Select the specific app, in‑app purchase, or subscription and submit the request
When You Can Get a Refund
- The purchase must appear in the Apple ID’s purchase history
- The request must be submitted through reportaproblem.apple.com while the charge is not pending
- Refund eligibility may vary by country or region and is subject to Apple’s discretion
All Refund Methods
- Credit is returned to the original payment method used for the purchase (credit/debit card, Apple Pay, Apple Cash, etc.)
- Store credit is added to the Apple ID balance for immediate use
Additional Notes
- Refunds are not guaranteed; Apple may decline a request without providing a reason
- If the purchase was made by a Family Sharing member, only the family organizer can request the refund
- If the charge cannot be found, verify you are signed in with the correct Apple ID or check email receipts
