How to Cancel — Step by Step
- 1Log into your Squarespace account and open the Billing panel for the site you wish to cancel.
- 2Under 'Subscriptions', click on your Website or Store subscription/plan.
- 3Click 'Cancel subscription'.
- 4Review the cancellation details. You may have the option to keep the site active until the end of the billing cycle or get an immediate refund if eligible.
- 5Click 'Continue' to proceed with the cancellation.
- 6Select your reason for canceling from the drop-down menu to finalize.
Reactivating Your Account
- If you were on a legacy pricing plan, you cannot reactivate on the same plan after canceling.
- Digital Products enter a 30-day pause state after cancellation. If you reactivate within this period, your customers' subscriptions will be reinstated.
Additional Notes
- When canceling a monthly subscription, your site will remain active until the end of the current billing cycle.
- Canceling your website subscription will also cancel any associated store and customer subscriptions.
- You can export your site's content before canceling to potentially import it to a new site.
- All Squarespace subscriptions (Domains, Google Workspace, Email Campaigns, Acuity Scheduling) are independent and must be canceled separately.
