How to Cancel — Step by Step
- 1Log in to your Todoist account on todoist.com.
- 2Click your avatar at the top-left.
- 3Select Settings.
- 4Select the Subscription tab.
- 5Click 'Cancel plan'.
- 6You'll see a list of benefits you'll miss after canceling your subscription. Click 'Cancel subscription'.
- 7Select the reason for the cancellation and provide any feedback.
- 8Click 'Cancel subscription' to confirm.
Billed Through a Third Party?
- **App Store (Apple):** If purchased via an in-app purchase with Apple, the subscription is managed through the App Store. Follow Apple's instructions to cancel your subscription before it renews. Refund requests must be made directly to Apple.
- **Google Play:** If purchased via an in-app purchase with Google, the subscription is managed through the Google Play store. Follow Google's instructions to cancel your subscription before it renews. After canceling, contact Todoist to request a refund for yearly payments if within 30 days.
- **Microsoft Store:** Todoist Pro payments made through the Microsoft Store do not auto-renew. Microsoft does not offer refunds for purchases made via their store.
Reactivating Your Account
- After canceling your subscription, you'll still have access to Pro features until it expires. You'll then revert back to the Free plan.
Additional Notes
- To cancel a subscription paid directly through Todoist, you must log in to your Todoist account on the website.
- Canceling your subscription does not immediately remove Pro features; they remain active until the end of your current billing period.
- If you're within the 30-day refund window on a yearly plan, you may have the option to cancel at the end of your billing period or end immediately and receive a refund.
