- 6Tap 'Cancel Subscription' and click through several confirmation screens to finalize.
- 7Verify the cancellation by checking your account status in Settings.
Billed Through a Third Party?
- If you subscribed through the Apple App Store, cancel via iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Rocket Money → Cancel Subscription.
- If you subscribed through Google Play, open Google Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Rocket Money → Cancel subscription.
- In-app cancellation on iOS/Android may redirect you to the platform's subscription management page if you originally subscribed through that store.
- Cancellation through Apple or Google follows their respective billing cycle and refund policies.
Reactivating Your Account
- Cancelling Premium does not delete your Rocket Money account — your free account with basic features remains active.
- You can resubscribe to Premium at any time through the app or website.
- Your linked bank accounts, transaction history, and budget data are retained after cancelling Premium.
- Bill negotiation savings already completed before cancellation remain in effect — Rocket Money's fee is only charged on successful negotiations.
Additional Notes
- Rocket Money Premium costs $7–$14/month on a 'pay what you think is fair' sliding scale. New members get a 7-day free trial.
- Formerly known as Truebill — the service was rebranded to Rocket Money after acquisition by Rocket Companies (parent of Rocket Mortgage).
- Cancelling Premium does NOT automatically cancel pending bill negotiation requests — cancel those separately, or Rocket Money will still charge its success fee (typically 30%–60% of first-year savings).
- The free tier includes basic budgeting, subscription tracking, and spending insights. Premium adds custom categories, smart savings, credit score monitoring, and concierge bill negotiation.
- When attempting to cancel, Rocket Money may offer a discounted annual plan ($36–$48/year, equivalent to $3–$4/month) as a retention offer.
- Rocket Money can cancel other subscriptions on your behalf as a Premium feature — but if you cancel Rocket Money Premium, you lose that service going forward.
- Support is available through the in-app help center and via email at support@rocketmoney.com.
