How to Cancel — Step by Step

  1. 1Log in to your account at web.descript.com or open the desktop application.
  2. 2Click on your profile icon in the top-right corner and choose 'Settings'.
  3. 3If you have multiple Drives, select the correct one from the sidebar.
  4. 4Navigate to the 'Plan' tab and select 'Change plan'.
  5. 5Choose the 'Downgrade to Free' option to cancel your subscription.
  6. 6You will be required to select a reason for canceling, then click 'Cancel subscription'.
  7. 7Follow the remaining prompts to confirm the cancellation.

Reactivating Your Account

  • If you cancel, your Drive will switch to the Free plan at the end of your billing cycle, and you can upgrade again anytime from your subscription settings.
  • If you change your mind before the end of the billing cycle, you can reverse the pending cancellation in your account settings.

Additional Notes

  • Canceling your subscription is equivalent to downgrading to the Free plan.
  • After cancellation, you will retain access to your projects, but you will lose access to features not included in the Free plan.
  • Deleting your account is a permanent action that will remove all your data and automatically cancel any active subscription, but it will not initiate a refund.
