Return Conditions
- Item must be in its original, undamaged condition.
- Disassembled, if the item was originally delivered disassembled.
- In its original packaging. If the original packaging is too damaged, a similar sized box or a box no longer than 108 inches must be used.
Refund Methods
- Store credit redeemable on pier1.com.
- Refund (for defective/damaged items due to Pier 1's error).
Exceptions & Restrictions
- Clearance items.
- Items marked “Final Sale”.
- Personalized items.
- Bundled items at discounted rates (unless the entire bundle is returned).
- Items that have been assembled.
- Gift cards.
- Open Box Items.
Online / Mail Returns
- Most items can be returned for store credit within 30 days of delivery.
- Customer is responsible for return shipping charges.
- Outbound shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to a damaged order.
- To begin the return/exchange process, customers must reach out to the customer service team at support@pier1.com.
- Returned items must be in original, undamaged condition, disassembled if applicable, and in original packaging.
Damaged or Defective Items
- If there is a mistake with the order, or items arrive defective/damaged at the time of receipt, customers should contact customer service within 30 days.
- Customers should include photos for proper assessment.
- Pier 1 will send replacement parts or accessories, replace the item, or issue a refund.
- There are no return shipping charges for defective/damaged items due to Pier 1's error.
Exchange Policy
- Exchanges are handled as a return for store credit, followed by a new purchase using the issued store credit.
Additional Notes
- Pier 1 Imports physical stores closed down by October 2020 after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
- The brand was acquired by Retail ECommerce Ventures (REV) and now operates exclusively as an online retailer at pier1.com.
- Returns for most items are processed as store credit redeemable on pier1.com.
- Customers are generally responsible for return shipping costs, unless the item is damaged or defective due to Pier 1's error.
