Return Conditions
- Items must be in their original condition.
- Original tags must be attached.
- Items must be in unused and resalable condition.
- Original packaging should be included if possible for mail returns.
Refund Methods
- Full refund to the original card used for purchase.
- If unable to provide the original receipt or returning beyond 30 days, a gift card credit for the current selling price will be issued.
- Orders purchased with PayPal/Venmo can be returned in stores.
Exceptions & Restrictions
- All sales are final for Beauty (Makeup / Fragrance).
- All sales are final for Body Jewelry.
- All sales are final for Bulk Purchases (greater than four (4) bags or mini backpacks total or greater than five (5) of any other merchandise SKU).
- Collectible figures can only be returned within 7 days of in-store purchase or 7 days of receiving the item from an online order.
- Custom apparel and digital music and media content offered for permanent download are excluded from the return policy.
Online / Mail Returns
- U.S. customers must use the Return Portal (https://returns.narvar.com/hottopic/returns).
- Returns are shipped back at the customer's expense.
- Include a copy of the packing slip with items circled and the return form.
- Pack items safely in the original box or shipping bag and remove or cover the original shipping label.
- Seal the package and return to 6001 Reliance Drive, La Vergne, TN 37086, using your preferred method of shipping.
In-Store Returns
- Bring the item and original receipt to any Hot Topic store.
- A full refund will be issued, minus any shipping charges.
- Merchandise must be in original packaged and ticketed, unused, and resalable condition.
- Certain items purchased online may not be returned in-store; check the item detail page from your order details.
- Orders purchased with PayPal/Venmo can now be returned in stores.
Gift Returns
- If the original receipt is not provided or the return is more than 30 days after purchase, a gift card credit for the current selling price will be issued.
Damaged or Defective Items
- Defective merchandise will be refunded within 90 days of purchase.
Exchange Policy
- Hot Topic does not offer exchanges. Items can be returned for a refund, and a new order can be placed.
Additional Notes
- Hot Topic is not responsible for lost or damaged packages for mail returns.
- Customers will not be reimbursed for original or return postage for mail returns.
- For in-store returns, all returns must be accompanied by the original receipt for a refund.
- For international (non-U.S.) returns, a self-serve return form should be used and international directions followed.

New Hot Topic policy regarding Pops with a chance of a chase.
Just an fyi I was notified by my Hot Topics store manager that any Pop that has a chance of a chase is ineligible for return, no matter how many were ordered. He showed me the corporate bulletin so the policy should apply to all stores.
Hot Topic no longer issuing refunds on returned pops?
I was told by my local Hot Topic that they are no longer issuing refunds on returned pops in an attempt to crack down on resellers. Even pops that are damaged during shipping cannot be returned but they can be exchanged if they have another one in store. I was curious to see if this is just my store

Hi! I’m planning to buy a graphic T-shirt from Hot Topic, online but I’m not sure about their return policy. Does anyone know if mail returns are free, or do they charge a fee? Thanks!
