How to Get a Refund — Step by Step
- 1For voluntary cancellations, check the terms and conditions of your ticket to determine if it is refundable.
- 2If your ticket is eligible, complete the online refund request form.
- 3For significant flight disruptions on journeys to or from the US, if you booked directly with Virgin Atlantic and choose not to travel, the refund will be processed automatically.
- 4If you booked via a third party or travel agent, you must initiate the refund request through them.
When You Can Get a Refund
- Refund eligibility is determined by the fare rules of the ticket purchased; some tickets are non-refundable.
- For non-refundable tickets, only certain taxes and fees may be refunded.
- For flights to or from the United States, if Virgin Atlantic cancels your flight or makes a significant schedule change, you are entitled to a refund if you choose not to travel.
- If a flight to or from the US is delayed by more than six hours, passengers who choose not to travel will be automatically refunded by Virgin Atlantic if the booking was made directly with them.
- If you booked through a travel agent, you must contact them for a refund.
All Refund Methods
- Online Form
- Automatic Refund
Additional Notes
- For flights delayed more than five hours (six for US routes), you can cancel your booking and receive a refund for the unused part of your ticket.
- Even on non-refundable tickets, you can apply for a refund of government and airport taxes and fees.
- Refunds for credit/debit card purchases will be credited back to the original card account.

I cancelled the ticket on the app a few days before my trip, on April 27. I never got a confirmation or anyt
