How to Get a Refund — Step by Step

  1. 1Contact the store directly where you made the purchase to request a refund.
  2. 2The store will inform you if a return is possible and the refund amount based on their policy.
  3. 3Once the store processes the return, they will notify Affirm.
  4. 4Affirm will then apply the refund to your loan balance, starting with the final payments.
  5. 5If you have already made payments, the amount will be refunded to your original payment method within 3-10 business days.
  6. 6You can check the status of your refund by signing into your Affirm account and selecting the purchase.

When You Can Get a Refund

  • To request a refund, you must first contact the store where you made the purchase.
  • Affirm cannot issue refunds or cancellations without confirmation from the store.
  • The store's own return policy determines if a return is possible and the refund amount.
  • If the store provides store credit instead of a refund, you are still responsible for your Affirm payments.
  • Any interest you have paid is not refundable.

All Refund Methods

  • Refund to original payment method
  • Check

Partial Refunds

  • If a partial refund is less than your loan balance, the refund amount will be deducted from your remaining balance, potentially resulting in fewer remaining payments or a lower final payment.
  • If a partial refund is greater than your loan balance, the remaining balance will be canceled, and the leftover amount will be sent to your original payment method.

Dispute Process

  • If you are unable to resolve the issue with the store, you can open a dispute with Affirm.

Additional Notes

  • While waiting for your refund, you should continue to make any payments that are due to avoid them becoming overdue.
  • It can take 21 days or longer for a store to process a return and for Affirm to update your account.

I got my $10k back - Affirm pay refunds

I used Affirm to pay the $9,995 in full over 6 months with no interest. It had been paid off for a long time. It dawned on me at some point that I might be able to

Affirm Technically Refunded me Twice?

I used the affirm card to get something from a seller online on Etsy. The item sent to me was NOTHING like what I expected and was terrible and the seller kept arguing with me and refusing to refund me, so I disputed the claim on Affirm. I finally get the seller to refund me 75% and it went directly

I’ve done stupid stuff in my life, but the stupidest thing I’ve ever done was buy a pair of car mods from RBG Halo Kits, and used affirm to split it into 4 payments of $93.00 I had not even opened the product and decided I did not need it anymore. I contacted customer service and they sent me a prep

Back in November, I signed my dog up for a 21 day board and training program. I went through this company who trained my other dog and I saw great res
