How to Cancel — Step by Step

  1. 1Log in to your Talkspace account at talkspace.com or open the Talkspace app.
  2. 2Click or tap your profile icon in the top-right corner of the screen.
  3. 3Select 'Manage Subscription' from the menu.
  4. 4Click 'Change Plan' to view subscription options.
  5. 5Click 'Cancel Subscription' at the bottom of the plan options.
  6. 6Answer the follow-up questions about your reason for canceling.
  7. 7Click 'Submit' to confirm your cancellation — your account will be marked as 'do not renew'.

Billed Through a Third Party?

  • Apple App Store (Talkspace Go): Due to security restrictions, Apple blocks Talkspace from accessing your Apple account. Contact Apple Support directly for cancellation and refund requests for App Store purchases.
  • Google Play Store (Talkspace Go): Email help@getlasting.com with a copy of your purchase receipt or Google Play Order Number (begins with GPA) to request cancellation assistance or refunds.
  • Employer-sponsored (EAP) plans: If your employer provides Talkspace through an Employee Assistance Program, your access is managed by your employer — contact your HR department about plan changes.
  • Insurance-based plans: If you use Talkspace through insurance, cancellation stops future sessions but copay/coinsurance charges for completed sessions still apply per your insurance terms.

Reactivating Your Account

  • You can reactivate your Talkspace subscription at any time by logging in and selecting a new plan.
  • Your previous therapist may or may not be available upon reactivation — you may need to choose a new provider.
  • Message history with previous therapists is preserved in your account for review.
