How to Cancel — Step by Step
- 1Log in to your OPTAVIA account at optavia.com or open the OPTAVIA app.
- 2Navigate to the 'My Account' page.
- 3Select 'My OPTAVIA Premier' (website) or 'Your Next Premier Order' (app) from the menu.
- 4Scroll down and click 'Cancel Premier Membership'.
- 5A confirmation window will explain that canceling results in loss of Premier benefits and discounts.
- 6Click 'Cancel Membership' to confirm (or 'Nevermind' / 'Keep Premier' to keep your membership).
- 7After confirming, you'll see a green banner on the Premier Details page confirming cancellation.
- 8Important: Separately cancel any upcoming order — canceling the membership does NOT automatically cancel orders already in processing.
Billed Through a Third Party?
- OPTAVIA subscriptions are managed directly through OPTAVIA — there are no third-party app store billing options.
- If your OPTAVIA Coach set up your subscription on your behalf, you can still cancel directly through your own account online or by phone.
- Payment is processed directly through OPTAVIA using the credit/debit card on file in your account.
Reactivating Your Account
- You can re-enroll in OPTAVIA Premier+ at any time through your online account or by contacting support at 1-888-678-2842.
- Your account history, order records, and Coach assignment are preserved after cancellation.
- Re-enrolling may qualify you for current promotions but you lose any grandfathered discount rates.
- Your assigned OPTAVIA Coach remains linked to your account unless you request a change.
Additional Notes
- OPTAVIA Premier+ is an autoship program that processes every 4 weeks (28 days) — it is not a monthly membership fee but a recurring product order with discounts (up to 20% off orders over $350).
- All modifications and cancellations must be submitted by 6:00 PM ET the day before your order processing date — requests after this cutoff apply to the next scheduled order.
- Refusing or returning an OPTAVIA Premier+ order does NOT automatically cancel your enrollment — orders will continue to ship and be charged until you formally cancel.
- Product returns must be postmarked within 30 days of receipt; use the Self-Service Return option in the OPTAVIA app for easy returns.
- Contact OPTAVIA Client Support at 1-888-678-2842 for assistance with cancellations, returns, or account issues.
- OPTAVIA is a subsidiary of Medifast, Inc. and operates as a direct-sales (MLM) model — your Coach earns commission on your orders, so they may encourage you to stay enrolled.
- Consider adjusting your order frequency or pausing rather than fully canceling if you want to maintain your discount tier.
- Free promotional items (e.g., bonus Fuelings, blender bottles) received with orders do not need to be returned and cannot be refunded.
