How to Get a Refund — Step by Step
- 1Initiate the cancellation process online through the 'Manage Travel' section of allegiantair.com or by contacting Allegiant's Reservation Center.
- 2If the cancellation meets the 24-hour refund window criteria (within 24 hours of booking and flight is at least one week away), a full refund will be processed to the original form of payment.
- 3For cancellations made outside the 24-hour window, if any credit is due after deducting applicable fees, an Allegiant travel voucher will be issued.
- 4Allegiant travel vouchers are typically emailed to the customer and can be used online towards future reservations. Travel must be completed within one year of the original booking date.
When You Can Get a Refund
- A full refund is only granted if the cancellation is made within 24 hours of booking AND the scheduled departure time is at least one week (168 hours) away at the time of booking.
- Most purchases, including travel, hotel packages, car rentals, baggage and seat fees, booking fees, carrier charges, and taxes, are non-refundable, with very limited exceptions.
- No credit or refunds are given for no-shows, or for passenger-initiated cancellations made within seven (7) days of scheduled departure, unless Trip Flex™ travel protection was purchased.
- A full refund, including taxes and ancillary fees, will be provided if a flight is canceled by Allegiant for reasons within their control and the customer chooses not to rebook.
- A full refund will be provided if a passenger rejects a significantly delayed or changed flight, rebooking, or other compensation offered by Allegiant.
All Refund Methods
- Eligible refunds made within the 24-hour window are processed back to the original form of payment.
- For cancellations outside the 24-hour window (if eligible for any credit), an Allegiant credit voucher for future travel is issued after the deduction of any applicable fees.
- All credit refunds are processed in the original currency of purchase (USD).
Partial Refunds
- If Allegiant cancels a flight due to reasons within its control and the customer opts not to rebook, a full refund, including any taxes and ancillary fees, will be processed.
- For cancellations made after the 24-hour window, any remaining funds after the deduction of carrier charges, booking fees, and cancellation fees (if Trip Flex was not purchased) will be issued as a non-refundable credit voucher for future travel.
Dispute Process
- Refund requests can be submitted by mail to: Allegiant Travel Company, ATTN: Customer Relations Department, PO Box 371730, Las Vegas, NV 89137.
- Customers can also use the Feedback Form available on the Allegiant Air website to submit refund-related inquiries.
Additional Notes
- Allegiant Air does not provide bereavement exceptions to its refund policies.
- Allegiant travel vouchers are non-refundable, non-transferable, and expire one year from the date of the initial reservation.
- Carrier charges and booking fees are generally not refunded, even if Trip Flex™ travel protection was purchased.
- Cancellation policies for hotel-only bookings differ from air travel, and hotel packages are typically non-refundable.
