How to Cancel — Step by Step
- 1Open Settings on your iPhone/iPad, tap your name, select Subscriptions, choose iCloud+, and tap Cancel Subscription (or use Manage Plan ▶ Downgrade Options to select the free 5 GB plan).
- 2On a Mac, open System Settings, click Apple Account, then iCloud, select Manage Plan, tap Downgrade Options, and choose the free plan; confirm with your Apple ID password.
- 3If you have no Apple device, sign in at reportaproblem.apple.com, select “I’d like to” → “Request a refund”, choose the iCloud+ charge, and submit the request.
Billed Through a Third Party?
- If the iCloud+ subscription is billed through a carrier or other third‑party provider, you must contact that carrier for cancellation .
Reactivating Your Account
- You can reactivate iCloud+ at any time by purchasing a new storage plan in Settings ▶ your name ▶ iCloud ▶ Manage Plan (Apple Support article “Buy more iCloud storage”).
Additional Notes
- The downgrade or cancellation takes effect after the current billing period ends; you will retain the paid storage until then.
- If your data exceeds the free 5 GB limit after cancellation, iCloud will stop syncing new data and may eventually delete items that cannot be stored.
