How to Cancel — Step by Step
- 1Log in to your Chewy account at chewy.com or in the Chewy mobile app.
- 2Click your name in the top-right corner (website) or tap the profile icon in the bottom-right (app).
- 3Select 'Autoship & Subscriptions' from the menu.
- 4Find the Autoship order you want to cancel and click 'Manage' (website) or tap the subscription (app).
- 5Scroll to the bottom and click the red 'Cancel This Autoship' button.
- 6Confirm the cancellation when prompted.
- 7You will receive a confirmation email from Chewy.
Billed Through a Third Party?
- Chewy Autoship is managed entirely through Chewy's website and app — there is no Apple App Store or Google Play billing involved.
- If you set up Autoship using a specific credit card or payment method, cancelling Autoship stops all future charges to that method automatically.
- Chewy Autoship is NOT a subscription through a third-party platform — all management is done directly through your Chewy account.
Reactivating Your Account
- You can set up a new Autoship at any time by adding items to your cart and selecting the Autoship option at checkout.
- Previous Autoship settings (frequency, quantities) are not saved after cancellation — you will need to configure a new Autoship from scratch.
- Your Chewy account, order history, and pet profiles are retained after Autoship cancellation.
- Reactivating Autoship qualifies you for the ongoing 5% Autoship discount on select brands (the 35% first-order discount is for new Autoship setups only).
Additional Notes
- First Autoship order gets 35% off (max $20 discount). All subsequent Autoship orders get an extra 5% off select brands plus free shipping.
- You can cancel individual items from an Autoship without cancelling the entire Autoship — go to Manage Autoship and click 'Remove' on specific items.
- Use 'Skip Next Delivery' instead of full cancellation if you just need to delay — this preserves your Autoship discount and settings.
- Each Autoship item can have its own delivery frequency (every 1–16 weeks), and you can adjust timing per item.
- Chewy customer service is available 24/7 by phone at 800-672-4399 and via live chat on chewy.com.
- Autoship orders that have already been processed and shipped cannot be cancelled — you can return unwanted items under Chewy's 365-day satisfaction guarantee.
- There are no cancellation fees, no minimum order requirements, and no long-term commitment for Autoship.
- Cancelling Autoship does not affect any pending one-time orders or pharmacy prescriptions on your Chewy account.
