How to Cancel — Step by Step
- 1Determine how you subscribed to Discovery+ (directly via discoveryplus.com or through a third-party provider like Apple, Google Play, Amazon, or Roku).
- 2If you subscribed directly through discoveryplus.com, sign in to your account on the website.
- 3Select your profile icon (usually in the upper right corner) and then navigate to the 'Subscription' section.
- 4Look for and select the 'Cancel' option and follow the prompts to confirm your cancellation.
- 5If you subscribed through a third-party provider, you must cancel directly with that provider using their specific cancellation process.
Billed Through a Third Party?
- **Apple App Store (iPhone/iPad):** Open the 'Settings' app, tap your name, select 'Subscriptions', find Discovery+, and then 'Cancel Subscription'.
- **Google Play (Android):** Open the Google Play Store app, tap your profile icon (top right), select 'Payments & subscriptions', then 'Subscriptions', find Discovery+, and choose 'Cancel subscription'.
- **Amazon (Appstore or Prime Video Channels):** Go to 'Manage your Amazon subscriptions' or 'Prime Video Channels' on the Amazon website, locate Discovery+, and turn off auto-renewal or cancel the channel.
- **Roku:** Visit my.roku.com/subscriptions and sign in. Find Discovery+ in your 'Active Subscriptions', select 'Manage subscription', and then turn off auto-renew and confirm.
Additional Notes
- Deleting the Discovery+ app from your device does not cancel your subscription.
- Your Discovery+ subscription automatically renews until you cancel it.
- To avoid being charged for the next billing cycle, you must cancel your subscription at least 24 hours before your next billing date.
- After cancelling, you can continue streaming content until your subscription expires at the end of the current billing period.
- You will receive an email confirming your cancellation once the process is complete.
