Return Conditions
REI
- Most items can be returned even if worn or gently used (for members within 1 year).
- Used gear must be in good condition and cleaned.
- Merchandise that is not cleaned or laundered may be declined and sent back.
Patagonia
- Items should be in new condition with tags attached for returns due to fit or color.
- Items returned after more than a year, or without proof of purchase, may be reviewed by the Returns team under the Ironclad Guarantee.
- The Ironclad Guarantee does not cover damage caused by normal wear and tear.
Exceptions & Restrictions
REI
- Items with ordinary wear and tear or damage from misuse or accidents are not covered.
- In-store Re/Supply (used gear) purchases are final sale and no returns are allowed.
- Gift cards are final sale.
- Lift tickets are final sale.
- REI memberships are final sale.
- Outdoor electronics must be returned within 90 days.
- REI may not accept returns from a small subset of members who have repeatedly abused their return policies.

- Damage due to wear and tear will be repaired at a reasonable charge.
- Worn Wear items must be returned in the condition they were originally received.
- Returns for Worn Wear items cannot be made in retail locations or at events.

In-Store Returns

Gift Returns
