Return Conditions

Poshmark

  • Buyer must file a return request within three days of delivery for issues covered by Posh Protect.
  • Buyer must provide clear, well-lit photos depicting the reason for the return.
  • If applicable, include photos of tags, serial numbers, hardware, stitching, or any identifying details.
  • Returns must be shipped back within 5 days of approval to be eligible for a refund.

ThredUp

  • All items must be in the same condition in which you received them to qualify for a refund.
  • All returned items are subject to a $3.99 restocking fee.
  • Original shipping charges are not refunded when returning items.

Exceptions & Restrictions

Poshmark

  • All sales are final if no return case is opened within 3 days of delivery and payment is released to the seller.
  • Returns are not accepted for 'Item does not fit' or 'Changed mind' under standard Posh Protect, unless 'Worry-Free Returns powered by Seel' was purchased.
  • Returns are not accepted for delayed delivery.
  • Returns are not accepted for trades or transactions completed off the Poshmark platform.
  • If the buyer accepts the order, a return can no longer be filed.
  • Emailing Poshmark Support about an issue does not qualify as opening a return case; the official process must be followed.

ThredUp

  • Final sale items are not returnable.
  • Promotions and discounts applied to the original purchase will not be reimbursed.
  • Items purchased with ThredUp store credits will always be refunded back as store credits.
  • Once a return has been processed, the refund method cannot be changed.
  • Returns postmarked outside the 14-day timeframe or items not in their original condition will be canceled, and no refund will be issued.
  • Orders refused upon delivery and returned to ThredUp will not be refunded.

Refund Methods

Poshmark

  • If a return is approved, Poshmark will send a prepaid return label.
  • Once the seller receives the returned order, Poshmark will refund the buyer the full amount paid, including shipping and taxes.
  • Poshmark holds the buyer's payment until the order is received and accepted, or until a return case is resolved.

ThredUp

  • ThredUp credit: Receive a free return shipping label; refund issued as non-cashoutable ThredUp credits.
  • Original form of payment (with shipping fee): A $10.99 return shipping label fee is deducted from your refund to the original form of payment.
  • Original form of payment (without shipping fee): You arrange and pay for your own return shipping, and the refund is issued to your original form of payment.

Poshmark

  • To file a return, go to 'My Purchases' in the Poshmark app or website.
  • Select the order, then 'Problems/Order Inquiry', and choose 'Order Not as Described' or the relevant reason if 'Worry-Free Returns' was purchased.
  • Add clear images that depict the reason for the return and include a description.
  • If the return is approved, a prepaid return label will be emailed to the buyer.

ThredUp

  • Returns are initiated by visiting your returns page on the ThredUp website.
  • Select items to return, choose a return reason, select a refund method, and confirm the return to generate printable return papers.
  • Pre-paid, pre-addressed return shipping labels are available only for customers in the 48 contiguous US states.
  • Customers in Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico must arrange their own return shipping as ThredUp does not provide labels.
  • International customers are responsible for covering return shipping fees and including a customs form.

Damaged or Defective Items

Poshmark

  • Posh Protect covers undisclosed damage, incorrect or missing items, and items not as described.
  • Buyers must provide clear, crisp photos of the problem area(s) in bright or natural lighting to support a damage claim.
  • For electronics or non-working items, a video showing the issue is required.

ThredUp

  • If you receive an item not as described, specific instructions should be followed, typically by visiting your Returns page.
