Cancellation Steps
AT&T
- Call 800.288.2020 to cancel AT&T Internet, AT&T Internet Air, or U-verse TV service.
- Call 800.331.0500 or use the Chat option (when available) to cancel wireless service or remove a line.
- For Illinois or Massachusetts AT&T Internet Air accounts (ordered online) or Illinois, Massachusetts, and New York wireless accounts (ordered online), you may be eligible to cancel online at att.com/myatt.
- Ensure only the account owner cancels home internet or U-verse TV services.
- If canceling Internet service within 14 days of activation, return any leased equipment.
Verizon
- Call Verizon customer service at 1-800-VERIZON (800-837-4966) for Fios service, or 1-844-837-2262 for general cancellation.
- Sign in to My Verizon and either choose "Disconnect Service" on the Account Dashboard/Settings page (for Fios) or tap "Chat", type "Cancel", and follow the prompts.
- Have your account information ready for authentication when calling.
- Return any rented equipment within 30 days of disconnecting service to avoid unreturned equipment charges.
- If you are located in CA, FL, or TX, contact your local provider to cancel service.

Additional Notes
AT&T
- Penalties and extra fees may apply if you cancel a promotional service before your service commitment ends.
- If you cancel AT&T Internet Air from a bundled account, you may lose discounts.
- Your AT&T Internet Air service will remain active until the end of your bill period.
- If canceling on a holiday, it's handled the next business day; on a weekend, during regional weekend operation hours.
- If you have an AT&T email account, you must wait 30 to 60 days after canceling service to delete it.
- For wireless service, the remaining unpaid installment balance is due immediately if you cancel the line linked to a device installment plan.
Verizon
- An early termination fee (ETF) may be charged if you are under contract for Fios service, up to a maximum of $350, decreasing by $15 per month.
- Rented equipment must be returned within 30 days to avoid unreturned equipment charges.
- Auto Pay and Paper-Free Billing remain enrolled until your final payment.
- Online disconnection is available for Fios services; other home services (e.g., High Speed Internet, DSL) require contacting Customer Service.
- You can suspend your services for 30 days to 9 months if going out of town instead of canceling.
- You remain responsible for all fees and charges through the end of your billing cycle; no refunds are provided for Prepaid Service.
