  2. 2Click on your profile icon and navigate to 'Profile and Settings'.
  3. 3Go to the 'Account Information' page.
  4. 4Find the subscription section and click the option to cancel your subscription.
  5. 5Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm cancellation.
  6. 6You will retain access to all courses until your subscription expiration date.
  7. 7If you subscribed through Apple or Google Play, you must cancel through those platforms (see third-party billing below).

Billed Through a Third Party?

  • Apple App Store: Open Settings on your iPhone/iPad, tap your Apple ID, select 'Subscriptions', find Babbel, and tap 'Cancel Subscription'. The 20-day money-back guarantee does NOT apply to Apple App Store purchases.
  • Google Play Store: Open the Play Store app, tap your profile, go to 'Account' then 'Subscriptions', find Babbel, click 'Cancel' and follow the instructions. Google Play purchases ARE eligible for the 20-day money-back guarantee.
  • Deleting the Babbel app from your device does NOT cancel your subscription — you must actively cancel through the platform where you subscribed.
  • Canceling your Babbel account (deleting profile data) does NOT cancel your subscription billing — these are separate actions.

Reactivating Your Account

  • After cancellation, you retain access to all courses and progress until your subscription expiration date.
  • Your learning progress, completed lessons, and review vocabulary are preserved indefinitely in your account.
