Return Conditions
- Product must be purchased in the United States of America from an authorized seller.
- The Happiness Guarantee is not available for products purchased from unauthorized sellers, including unauthorized internet sites.
- The Happiness Guarantee is limited to the original, end-user purchaser in the United States of America.
- Yankee Candle reserves the right to verify information, require a valid proof of purchase, and deny requests in cases of suspected fraud or abuse.
Refund Methods
- Full refund to the original payment method within 150 days of purchase.
- After 150 days, a gift card or a check.
- For online purchases paid with a combination of credit card and gift card, the gift card amount will be refunded to an e-gift card, and the remaining balance to the original credit card.
- For damaged or defective items, a replacement or refund is offered.
Exceptions & Restrictions
- Products purchased from unauthorized sellers are not covered by the Happiness Guarantee.
- Refunds to the original payment method are available within 150 days of purchase; after this period, only a gift card or a check can be offered.
- Online orders paid with PayPal or AfterPay that are returned to a store location will be refunded in the form of a Yankee Candle Gift Card.
- Yankee Candle may deny Happiness Guarantee requests in cases of suspected fraud or abuse.
- The Happiness Guarantee can be amended or terminated at any time without notice.
Online / Mail Returns
- Customers can use a self-service return process on the website by providing their order number and billing zip code.
- Items can be returned by mail to the specified address.
- Include a note with contact number, return address, and if an exchange is desired, the item wanted in exchange.
- For web orders, include the return form from the bottom of the packing slip for faster processing.
- Customer is responsible for costs incurred in mailing items if requested for approval.
In-Store Returns
- Items can be returned to any Yankee Candle Store for a full refund or exchange.
- For store purchases, the original store receipt and the form of payment used are required.
- For online purchases returned to a store, a detailed order confirmation email or store receipt and the credit or debit card used for the purchase are needed.
Gift Returns
- Only the person who made the order can process a return; the purchaser must be contacted to arrange a replacement or return.
Damaged or Defective Items
- If a web order item is damaged, missing a component, or defective, initiate the self-service process online to claim a refund or replacement.
- Customers may be asked to upload photos and relevant documents for damaged items and to keep the item until further instructions are provided.
Exchange Policy
- Customers can choose to receive an exchange for their returned product.
- Exchanges can be made in-store or by mail.
