- Visit your home club (the specific location where you signed up) with a photo ID

- Ask for written confirmation/receipt — keep this as proof
- Alternative: send a formal cancellation letter via USPS Certified Mail with Return Receipt Requested to your home club address (not corporate)
- Letter must include: full name, address, membership ID, home club name/address, desired cancellation date, explicit request to cancel
- Certified letter must be received at least 7 business days before the next billing date

- Cancellation policies vary by home gym location.
- Canceling your Crunch+ subscription will not affect your Crunch gym membership.
- Should you choose to cancel your Crunch gym membership, you can still subscribe to Crunch+ for $7.99/month.
- Late cancel fees and no-show fees apply for Online Class Reservations. Crunch Fitness and Crunch Select locations charge a late cancel fee of $1 and a no-show fee of $2. Other Crunch locations charge a late cancel fee of $5 and a no-show fee of $10. These fees are charged if you cancel within 2 hours of the class start time or miss the class without cancelling.
- If you have a month-to-month membership, it will continue until you request cancellation. If you are a paid-in-full member, your membership will end at the end of your contract unless you request to renew.
- If you claim that you cancelled and your membership was not terminated, you will be asked to provide proof of the initial request.
- Any member that requests a downgrade from one membership to another for the first 90 days of enrollment may be charged or credited the difference between the enrollment fee paid.
- Crunch reserves the right to terminate the membership of anyone who fails to adhere to the terms and conditions, or for other behavior or actions deemed inappropriate.
Planet Fitness
- $39 annual fee applies to both Classic and Black Card members — charged approximately 3 months after signup
- To avoid annual fee: cancel at least 7 business days before the scheduled fee date
- Once charged, the annual fee is non-refundable in most cases
- Must cancel at your home club — other locations or corporate will not process it
- Black Card members can use any PF location but must still cancel at their home club
- Transfer option: must be a member for at least 90 days, no outstanding balances, monthly members only
- State laws: California, New York, and New Jersey require online cancellation if online signup was available
- NYC launched a compliance blitz in February 2026, sending warning notices to 187 gyms
